The compound was built by a wealthy lady, eight years ago, but like many cultural projects in China, had been left empty until today. Over one hundred people could live and work here. Every apartment has its own studio and is fully equipped. There are security guards and an electronic gate. Outside at night it is freezing cold but in the day it warms up. With the International Ceramic Project this area gets back to life. We are hosted by Lintao, a city near by. The project is set up by Jackson Lee, the founder of San Bao. The artworks we make will be shown together with the wonderful, 5000 years-old, pottery. Only 8 days to go before the firing! We have to hurry to be on time since clay has to dry before being fired.
